Information you choose to give us
If you join our updates list, we ask for your email address so we can send information about upcoming books, episodes and activities. Please sign up only if you are an adult. We don't ask children to register or submit personal information.
Where information goes
Our update form uses Netlify Forms to receive and hold submissions. Netlify may process technical information needed to operate, protect and deliver the website and form. Please also read Netlify's privacy policy.
Activities and storage
The gratitude-garden activity uses your browser's local storage to remember which flowers you picked. The quiz runs in your browser. These activities do not transmit children's answers to our servers. You can clear your browser's site data to reset the stored activity choices.
Automatic translation and language preferences
When you choose a non-English language, the text shown on the website is sent to a Netlify serverless function, which uses Netlify AI Gateway and a Google Gemini language model to generate translations. Some on-screen activity feedback may also be translated this way. We do not include email form values, names or accounts in translation requests. Translations may contain errors, including errors in Islamic terminology. Your selected language and translated website phrases are saved in your browser to reduce repeated translation requests.
External services
We load fonts from Google Fonts. Your browser may connect to Google's servers to load them. The site's hosting platform may maintain security and access logs. We do not currently use advertising or behavioural analytics cookies on this site.
Keeping in touch, access and deletion
Email updates are intended for grown-ups. When we begin sending updates, messages should include a way to unsubscribe. You can request access to or removal of your email address by replying to a message you receive from us. Before a public email contact channel is established, please don't submit sensitive information.
Updates to this notice
We may revise this notice when the website expands, such as if book sales, video hosting or other new services become available.
